OUR HISTORY

Harbour Banquet & Conference Centre & Light House Restaurant

The historic village of Bronte overlooking Lake Ontario was founded in 1834 and became part of the town of Oakville in 1954. As a family, the Christiansen's were very impressed with the pleasant mix of the old and the new, and particularly with the newly established harbour and sprawling green space that surrounded it. The land was leased and the marina was constructed privately. After great planning and hard work, their dream was realized when the initial stage of the Bronte Outer Harbour Marina was completed in 1998.

To pursue this dream further, the Harbour Lighthouse Banquet and Conference Centre and Lighthouse Restaurant was built on this wonderful location and opened on July 31, 2002. Mr. Christiansen was the primary designer of this elegant building and his wife, was instrumental in bringing it to fruition. It is a classic facility that needs to be seen in order to appreciate all it has to offer. Situated on Lake Ontario on the water's edge, it is within walking distance of stores and businesses in the quaint village of Bronte.

Parking

The parking facilities were established by the Lighthouse for clients and patrons of the facility. The conference centre has agreed to share their leased parking space  with the City of Oakville when parking is not in use by their patrons.

Ours is yours to discover. We are located one block south from Lakeshore Blvd at 2340 Ontario St.
